Accessible Pain Medication Online

Josh L Mckinley asked:

Pain is a challenging condition most American patients have to deal with. People can suffer any condition from everyday pain to long term pain. If you find yourself in an unbearable ache, you can be tempted to go online and buy from an online drug store. Nonetheless, huge risks occur with purchasing painkillers from the net. The pain killer you take online could be fake in its type. In fact, over 5000 online pharmaceuticals have been caught by the Drug Enforcement Agency of the USA. Aside from the fake ingredients of the medicines, many people self prescribe their own pain killers. They don’t bother seeing a physician to get an apt prescription for their situation. You can also be legally accused for buying oxycontin, Percocet, Demerol, and Tylenol. In order to avoid these risks, there are specific precautions you may implement when buying from the net.

In spite of these dangers, there are certain pain medications you can still purchase from online pharmaceuticals. You won’t experience any trouble having these mailed to your house.

One possible and harmless to order painkiller is Fioricet. This is a mixed medicine made of caffeine, butalbital, and acetaminophen. This medication functions best against tension headaches. The different ingredients act by relieving your head and neck, the parts usually tight during tension headaches. People who experience incredible migraines should opt for this medicine.

You can also opt to take Celebrex. Celebrex is able to remedy stiffness, inflammation, swelling, and pain from arthritis symptoms. These signs are relieved with a nonsteroidal anti-inflamattory drug (NSAID), inhibiting the body’s prostaglandins production. The prostaglandin is responsible for causing the pain and swelling symptoms.

Soma or carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant recommended for short run muscle trouble conditions. Its relaxing functions will stop the contraction from the muscle spasm. Electrical signals found in the brain’s reticular formation and the spinal cord are blocked. Those with back pains are usually recommended carisoprodol. This pill is best combined with physical therapy.

Constant pains are treated with ultram or tramadol. Ultram sticks to the opiod receptors, similar to how narcotics work. It is most likely the most authorized type of a narcotic that can be ordered online in the US. It doesn’t have the danger of enabling internal bleeding and ulceration, which are commonly associated with this medicine’s class. Expect to take this if you have fibromyalgia, shingles, or other chronic conditions.

When ordering for any of these medicines, search for the sites that include insurance billing and price checking. They should also have automatic refill systems, prescription confirmation (from your doctor), and pharmacist advices. You should also ensure that you visit a doctor to have a proper pain medication prescription. Only order from websites that need a prescribed note before they actually mail you your order. Always study the online pharmacy site before implementing your order. Your instinct will usually inform you if the site is a scam or not. Do not undergo the risk of buying dangerous or useless pain killers from a supposed to be affordable online pharmacy.

Is Treating Fibromyalgia with Medication For You?

Jane Thompson asked:

Joining a fibromyalgia support group can be excellent psychological and emotional therapy. However, talking and sharing your experiences with others is not likely to take away any of the painful physical symptoms or fatigue you feel. Therefore, many fibromyalgia sufferers need to turn to alternative and medical remedies to find relief from their symptoms.

There are different over-the-counter (OTC) and prescribed medications that a fibromyalgia sufferer may find beneficial to their condition. That being said, not every person with fibromyalgia will have the same response to medical treatment, and may require different treatment to address their specific symptoms.
Although there are a number of medications that can be prescribed for specific symptoms, or those currently being used in clinical trials, the following are the most common medical treatments prescribed:
Analgesics – Analgesics are drugs designed to relieve bodily aches and pains and are also known as painkillers. OTC analgesics include acetaminophen and the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen. Although NSAIDs are primarily used to reduce inflammation and inflammation is not a symptom of fibromyalgia, they offer effective pain relief. The problem with using NSAIDs for pain relief is that prolonged use of this medication can irritate the stomach lining, lead to digestive upset and cause stomach ulcers.

Aside from OTC analgesics, doctors may prescribe opioid analgesics such as tramadol. Tramadol is a narcotic used to treat moderate to severe pain, and is typically used to treat surgical, arthritic and fibromyalgia pain. However, other stronger narcotics may be prescribed for sufferers with severe muscle pain.

The problem doctors have with prescribing narcotics is that although effective, there is a high risk that those who take them will become addicted and dependent on these drugs. Furthermore, narcotics can have many side effects including altering moods, behaviors and fatigue.

Antidepressants

Antidepressants are one of the most common medications prescribed for fibromyalgia sufferers. This is because antidepressants elevate the levels of specific brain chemicals such as norepinephrine and serotonin. Low levels of these and other brain chemicals can result in depression, pain and fatigue. By increasing chemical levels these symptoms can be improved.

Doctors provide different types of antidepressants to fibromyalgia sufferers based on how they feel. For instance, tricyclic antidepressants are provided to fibromyalgia patients who suffer from insomnia, as these meds help restore sleep. In addition, tricyclic antidepressants can help painful muscles relax and stimulate endorphins (body’s natural painkillers). Different tricyclic antidepressants that may be prescribed include: amitriptyline, doxepin, cyclobenzaprine and nortriptyline.

Additional antidepressant that may be used to treat depression and other fibromyalgia syptoms are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). These include – fluoxetine, sertraline and paroxetine.

Antidepressants can be habit forming and may cause side effects such as dry mouth, weight gain, anxiety, gastrointestinal upset, loss of libido, insomnia, and fatigue. Note: each antidepressant will have different side effects.

Benzodiazepines

Benzodiazepines are psychotropic drugs that have been known to help fibromyalgia sufferers relax tense and painful muscles, and with restless legs syndrome, and insomnia. Benzodiazepines have hypnotic and sedative effects, and like antidepressants, dependence and addiction can occur in some patients. Other side effects may include depression, memory impairment, slow motor skills, etc.

Benzodiazepines are usually prescribed to fibromyalgia sufferers who have not responded well to other treatments. Some Benzodiazepines meds prescribed include: diazepam, temazepman, clonazepam, and triazolam.

Despite what medication you may be interested in or your doctor may recommend, you need to make sure you ask your doctor important questions before taking any medication so you can receive the most effective treatment that is right for you.

6 important questions to ask your doctor

1. What are the medications you recommend for my specific symptoms?

2. What side effects can I expect and will this medication have negative interactions with other medications, foods or activities?

3. Should I continue taking medications even if I feel better?

4. What are the long-term effects this medication will have on my health?

5. Can I take any alternative therapies with this medication, or are there any alternative therapies I can try which might provide me with relief for my symptoms?

6. Are there any clinical trials I may be eligible for?

How effective is this pain medication?

James Clamentant asked:

I’m having a big oral surgery in two days. I just picked up my medication because I will be going on vacation after the operation. I had four scripts filled but only three were for pain. The first on was for me to take the first three days after surgery it said MS Contin 100mg tabs Disp. #6. My dentist said this was an all day pain reliever, and he said to take one pill when I wake up and another pill 8-12 hours later if I was still in pain. The second one said Oxycodone HCl 30mg tabs Disp. #48 and he said to take one of those every 4-6 hours as needed for the pain or he said I could take them with the MS Contin every 8 hours if I was still in pain The third was Carisoprodol 250mg tabs, he said to take one before I go to bed every night and it would prevent me from grinding my teeth and causing extreme pain.

My question is how effective are these painkillers? I am going to be on vacation in northern Alaska so I don’t want to spend my vacation in pain, and I doubt there will be a pharmacy out there so I need the pills I have to work. And also, suppose they didn’t work, could I also take tylenol or advil? He also gave me a prescription for Amoxicillin 875mg tabs and said to take one with breakfast and one with dinner starting today, will those help with the pain as well.

One last thing. I just stopped taking oxycontin for my back a few days ago, I was taking the 80mg tabs , 2 a day. These worked very well so does coxycodone work better than oxycontin? because I usually take 80mg oxycontin for my back and he only gave me 30mg oxycodone tablets.

One more last thing, he said the MS Contin would make me very sleepy, how sleepy is this? Will I be falling asleep all day ro will I just be a little tired? And the bottle for the oxycodone says “Generic Eq: Roxicodone” so is it oxycodone or roxicodone?

I know is a lot of questions so please try to answer tham all! I might post them in separate questions later.
